Instructional Management by Using SWOT Analysis Activities to Strengthen Analytical Thinking Skills for Mathayomsuksa 1 Students in Business Subject in Learning Area of Occupations and Technology of Bodindecha (Sing Singhaseni) Nonthaburi School

The objective of this research was to strengthen analytical thinking skills by using SWOT analysis activities with marketing mix (4P’s) for Mathayomsuksa 1 Students in business subject in learning area of Occupations and Technology of Bodindecha (Sing Singhaseni) Nonthaburi School. The research target was Mathayomsuksa 1 students in Bodindecha (Sing Singhaseni) Nonthaburi School in the second semester in academic year 2017 for two classrooms including Mathayomsuksa 1/4 and Mathayomsuksa 1/5 with totally 63 students. Quantitative research instruments comprised of 1) Assessment Form of Analytical Thinking Ability 2) Observation Form of Student Group Behaviors, and 3) Assessment Form of Presentation Skills. Qualitative research instruments were included of 1) five Lessen Plans that focused in SWOT analysis activities with marketing mix (4P’s) for beginner businessman activities and 2) Post-Teaching Records that included students’ learning reflections in SWOT analysis activities with marketing mix (4P’s) for beginner businessman activities. Quantitative data analysis were Percentage, Mean, Standard Deviation. Moreover, qualitative data analysis was content analysis.
The results were summarized as follows;
1) Enhancing thinking skills by using SWOT analysis activities with marketing mix (4P’s) for beginner businessman activities were found that students had thinking abilities in terms of 1) data classification, 2) data comparison, 3) data relation, 4) data problem solution method, and 5) benefits of using data had averaged rate at high level both each and overall aspects (= 3.95 and = 0.15). It also found that working group behaviors by using SWOT analysis activities with marketing mix (4P’s) for beginner businessman activities were rated at highest level (81.20%, =16.42, and =0.42) and presentation skills by using SWOT analysis activities with marketing mix (4P’s) for beginner businessman activities at highest level.
