Social Intelligence Of Early Adolescence In Bangkok Metropolitan

The main objective of this research was to analyze the social intelligence of early adolescence as a part of the thesis study entitled Guidelines for Promotion of Learning Process between Family and School to Develop the Social Intelligence of Early Adolescents in Bangkok Metropolitan. The subjects were 259 elementary students studying at P5 and P6 levels under the jurisdiction of the Department of Education, Bangkok Metropolitan Administration, their parents and their class teachers. Used multi-stage random sampling. The research tool was a social intelligence assessment form validated the tool by Validity and Reliability. Descriptive statistics and the regression analysis were used to analyze the data. The findings revealed that: 1) the social intelligence of this group was ranked average, and 2) there were three factors affecting their intelligence - the educational background of the parents, the family status and the parents’ average income. The first affected the social intelligence by only 1.9%, while the others affected it with statistical significance at 0.05.References
