Guidelines for the Development of Educational Administration of General Buddhist Scripture Schools in Muang District, Chiang Mai Province

This research was aimed at 1) investigating the problems of educational administration 2) investigating the needs for development of educational administration, and 3) finding the guidelines for development of educational administration. The samples included 1) 81 teachers teaching in the General Buddhist Scripture Schools, and 2) 12 key personnel for educational administration of the General Buddhist Scripture Schools, and two of which were chosen from each school through purposive sampling. The tools used in data collection were 1) structured interview with data descriptive analysis, and 2) questionnaire using statistics of percentage, mean, and standard deviation for data analysis.
The results indicated that 1) the overall problems of educational administration of the General Buddhist Scripture Schools were at a medium level with a mean of 3.014 and a standard deviation of 1.005, 2) the overall needs for development of educational administration of the General Buddhist Scripture Schools were at a high level with a mean of 3.53 and a standard deviation of 0.934, and 3) the guidelines for development of educational administration in terms of academic matters focused on good and professional teachers and student-oriented activities, budget focused on professional administration, personnel focused on appropriate allocation of personnel, and general administration focused on action plans to support systematic development of schools and teamwork.
