Abstract

The objectives of this research were to: 1 ) compare the science learning achievement of MathayomSuksa V students, which studying through Inquiry learning management together with Science Writing Heuristic (SWH) in the topic of Reaction Rate to meet criteria set at 7 0 percent, 2 ) compare the scientific explanation making ability of MathayomSuksa V students which studying through Inquiry learning management together with SWH between before and after studying, and 3) study the level of the scientific explanation making ability of MathayomSuksa V students, which studying through Inquiry learning management together with SWH.

The sample group was MathayomSuksa V students in the second semester of academic year 2018 Phatowittaya School, 31 students, obtained by cluster random sampling. The research instruments included 1) Inquiry learning management together with Science Writing Heuristic lesson plans, 2 ) the science learning achievement test, and 3 ) the scientific explanation making test. The collected data was analyzed by Arithmetic Mean, Standard Deviation, Percentage, t-test and content analysis.

The results of the research showed that 1 ) the science Learning achievement of MathayomSuksa V students after studying through inquiry learning management together with SWH was significantly higher than the 70 percent with the statistical significance at .05 level, 2 ) the scientific explanation making ability of Mathayomsuksa V students after studying through inquiry learning management together with SWH was higher than before studying with statistical significance at the level of .0 5 ,and 3 ) the level of the scientific explanation making ability of Mathayomsuksa V students after studying through inquiry learning management together with SWH with the mean score of 1 5 .9 7 which has the scientific explanation making ability at a good level.
