Enhancing Teachers’ Practices about Using Tablet for Learning Management in a School under the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration through Professional Development Program

This research aimed to enhance teachers’ practices about using tablet for learning management in Sukhothai School under Dusit District Office of Bangkok Metropolitan Administration through Professional Development (PD) program. Research instruments composed of teachers’ lesson plans, questionnaire about
teachers’ teaching practices regarding to using tablet for learning management, and group interview log. The researchers analyzed quantitative data by calculating frequencies and percentage and analyzed qualitative data by content analysis. Findings showed that majority of teachers (6 teachers 37.50%) had never used tablet in their learning management before participating in the PD program. However after participating in the PD program, there were 16 teachers (100%) using tablet in their teaching managements. There were 5 aspects of using tablet in their teaching: teachers transferring knowledge to students, students’ presentation, students’ searching resource, students’ selflearning resource, and students’ constructing
artifacts. In addition, teachers had satisfaction in participating the PD program in excellent level.
