Knowledge and Attitude Towards Thai Aroma of Technology Rajamangala University Students in Bangkok Metropolis

Abstract

Abstract

          The objectives of this research were to investigate1) knowledge and attitude towards Thai aroma and 2) therelationship between knowledge and attitude towards Thai aroma of Technology Rajamangala University Students in Bangkok Metropolis. A questionnaire was employed to gether data from 300 students, selected by multi-stage random sampling.

Data were analyzed to acquire percentage, mean, and Pearson’s product moment correlation coefficient. The findings revealed that almost three fourths of the students were female. Almost two fifths of the students were the third year student.  More than three fifths of the students enrolled Thai aroma. Almost half of the students got grade point average 3.5 and up. More than half of the students’ family income was higher than 20,000 baht monthly. Almost half of the students learned more knowledge on Thai aroma and traditional souvenir through online media.

         The results showed that almost two thirds of the students’ knowledge was at a moderate level, whereas three fourths of the students’ attitude was at a good level. Therelationship between knowledge and attitude towards Thai aroma and traditional souvenir were positively low correlated, statistically significant at the .01 level.  Knowledge on Thai aroma process was moderate positively correlated with attitude, statistically significant at the .01 level, whereas knowledge on Thai aroma benefit was low positively correlated with attitude statistically significant at the .05 level.
