Abstract

The purposes of this study were to 1) compare science learning achievement in the topic Substances in deily life of Prathom Suksa VI students learned using STEAM education learning management model with 80 percent criterion, and 2) compare the creative thinking ability between before and after learning the STEAM education learning model.

The research sample consisted of 20 Prathom Suksa VI students who were studying in the second semester of the academic year 2019 at Watphunhangsanawas School, one of Poochao Samingprai’ s cluster obtained by stratified random sampling. The instruments used in this study were 1) learning management plans for learning using STEAM education learning management model on the topic of Substances in deily life of Prathom Suksa VI students; 2) a science learning achievement test on the topic of Substances in deily life; and  3) a scale to assess science creative thinking. Statistics employed for data analysis were the mean, standard deviation and t-test

The research findings showed that 1) the post-learning science learning achievement of the students who learned using STEAM education learning management model were the mean 83.33 percent was statisticall pass the 80 percent criterion at .05 level of significance, and  2) the post-learning science creative thinking level of the students who learned using STEAM education learning management model was significantly higher their pre-learning counterpart level of the .05 level of statistical significance.
