Guidelines for the Development of Mathematics Word Problem Solving Ability on Linear Programming Using SSCS Model

SSCS model is one of the learning models which can be used as a means to develop the students’ learning achievements and Mathematics problem solving abilities. It also helps students to
acquire logical thinking since students are encouraged to think by themselves while teachers act just as the problem proposers and the advisers. SSCS Model was developed by Pizzini Shepardson, and Abell in 1989. Its learning process includes 4 stages: 1) S: Search stage is to find the data from the problem 2) S: Solve stage is to solve the problem solving 3) C: Create stage is to create the answer from solving problem and 4) S: Share stage is to share opinion of solving problem.
