The Study of Number Sense Abilities and Mathematics Learning Achievement on Ratio, Proportion, and Percentage by Using Activities Enhancing Number Sense of Mathayomsuksa one Students
Keywords:
Number SenseAbstract
The purposes of this research were 1) to study number sense abilities on ratio, proportion, and percentage of Mathayomsuksa one students after using activities enhancing number sense and 2) to study the mathematics learning achievement on ratio, proportion, and percentage of Mathayomsuksa one students after using activities enhancing number sense.
The target group in this research were 56 Mathayomsuksa one students of two classrooms of Bangbua (Pengtungtongchitwittayakarn) School, Bangkok in the second semester of academic year 2019. The research instruments were 10 lesson plans on ratio, proportion, and percentage that using activities enhancing number sense, number sense ability test, and mathematics learning achievement test on ratio, proportion, and percentage of Mathayomsuksa one students. Percentage, mean, and standard deviation were used for analyzing data and presented by tables, bar chart, and description.
The research found that number sense ability on ratio, proportion, and percentage after learning was lower than criteria 50% and mathematics learning achievement on ratio, proportion, and percentage after learning was lower than criteria 50%.
