The Study of Mathematical Problem Solving Ability and Mathematics Learning Achievement on Percentage of Prathomsuksa Five Students by Using Problem-based Learning Management
Keywords:
Problem-based Learning, Mathematical Problem Solving AbilityAbstract
The purposes of this research were to study of mathematical problem solving ability and mathematics learning achievement on percentage of prathomsuksa five students by using problem-based learning.
The target group was a class of 29 prathomsuksa five students at Piboonbumpen Demonstration School of Burapha University, in the second semester of academic year 2019. The instruments in data collection were consisted of 9 lesson plans on percentage by using problem-based learning, the problem solving ability test and the mathematics learning achievement test on percentage. Percentage, mean, standard deviation were used for analyzing and presented by tables.
The research findings revealed that the students had mathematical problem solving ability on percentage and mathematics learning achievement on percentage with the average of students after learning were higher than criteria 60%
