The purposes of this study were 1) to develop the unplugged coding educational media package for promoting preschool children’s computational thinking skills according to the theory of ADDIE Model, 2) to study the level of computational thinking skills of preschool children after using the unplugged coding educational media package, and 3) to study teacher and parent satisfaction towards using the unplugged coding educational media package of preschool; children. The research participants are 11 teachers at preschool level in one school in Nonthaburi Province, 3 preschool children age between 5-6 years old and 1 parent of preschool children. The study instruments were 1) The unplugged coding educational media package for promoting preschool children’s computational thinking skills, 2) Evaluation form of educational media package for professionals, 3) Assessment form of computational thinking skills of preschool children, and 4) Teacher and Parents satisfaction assessment form of educational media package. Quantitative data analyzed by percentage, mean, standard deviation and the qualitative data was analyzed by content analysis.
The results of the study were as follows: 1) the developed unplugged coding educational media package includes the storybook “Nano and Nene fancy fried rice, the handbook and the sets of 4 learning media activities, 2) The computational thinking skills of preschool children after using the unplugged coding educational package was at the highest level both overall and in each aspect 3) The early childhood teachers and parents had a high level of satisfaction after using the unplugged coding educational media package. ( = 4.83, = 0.28) therefore, the unplugged coding educational media package could help develop computational thinking skills of early childhood.
