Organizing a Participatory Educational Game Experience Provision to Promote Problem-solving Skills of Young Children in a Child Development Center Under the Local Department of Local Administration, Surin Province

Abstract

The objectives of this research were 1) to compare problem-solving skills of early childhood children.  and 2) to study the changes in problem-solving skills of early childhood children before and after the participatory educational game experience provision. The research method was participatory action research.  The sample group was 60 young childhood in the Child Development Center, under the local administrative organization Salakdai Sub-district, Mueang District, Surin Province, The random sampling method. The research tools included participative educational game experience plans, and 4 sets of test to measure problem solving skill in daily life situations.  The whole edition was equal to .82. The statistics used in the research were as follows:  average percentage standard deviation and t-test (t-test Independent Samples, t-test for Independent Samples).

The results showed that

1) It was found that the preschool children in the experimental group and the control group had no difference in problem solving skills before organizing a participatory educational game experience.  and problem solving skills of preschool children in the experimental group and the control group after the participative educational game experience. It was found that after the participative educational game experience provision, The preschool children in the experimental group had significantly higher problem-solving skills than the control group at the significance0.01 level.

2) The change in problem-solving skills by providing participative educational game experiences. after the participatory educational game experience provision childhood children in the experimental group, had problem-solving 54.54% skills increased from the baseline, and the control group had a 12.50% increase in problem solving skills from the baseline.
