Developing Understanding of the Use of Thai Language Skills of Mathayomsuksa 1 Students Using High-Level Questioning
The purposes of this research were to 1) compare the understanding of the use of Thai language skills of Mathayomsuksa 1 students before and after learning with through high-level questioning technique, and 2) study the understanding of the use of Thai language skills of students using high-level questioning technique. The target population in this study was 39 Mathayomsuksa 1 students of a school in Bangkok, carried out in the second semester of 2015 academic year. The research tool was a test on understanding of the use of Thai language skills, which comprised of 30 multiple-choice items, covering 4 skills which were 1) reading 2) writing3) listening/observing/speaking and 4) Thai language principles and usage. The data were mean, standard deviation and content analysis. The results of the study revealed that 1) most students passed the test on understanding of the use of Thai language skills where 50% is the passing mark. 2) the posttest scores on understanding of the use of Thai language skills of the students were higher than the pretest scores. 3) with the high-level questioning, students were able to improve their understanding of the use of Thai language skills to a higher level.
