Abstract

The Factors Influencing the Readiness of Accounting Teachers in Vocational Education towards ASEAN Economic Community (AEC)

The main objectives of this study were to investigate the level of readiness and factors influencing accounting teachers in Vocational Education towards ASEAN Economic Community (AEC), to test the differences between groups of accounting teachers, and to test the relationship between factors influencing quality development of the teachers in Vocational Education, and the readiness towards AEC. Questionnaire was used to collect data from 325 accounting teachers of the government vocational colleges. The study Past to was found that the most readiness of accounting teachers were competencies, perception of ASEAN, human development, curriculum, technology except the language that was in the moderate level. The study also found the significant different readiness of accounting teachers in groups of gender, age, and training. Moreover, there was a significant relationship between training, competencies, perceptions of ASEAN, human development, technologies, lampas, and the readiness toward  AEC.
