Abstract

           The purposes of this research were to study mathematics learning achievement of prathomsuksa five students on “Percentage Word Problem” by using the SSCS model and to study ability in solving mathematics word problems of prathomsuksa five students on  “Percentage Word Problem” by using the SSCS model, at Bannongthapao School, Changwat Prachuap Khiri Khan.

          The population was 27 prathomsuksa five students at Bannongthapao School in the first semester of academic year 2016. The instruments in data collection consisted of 10 lesson plans on “Percentage Word Problem” by usingthe SSCS model of prathomsuksa five students, mathematics learning achievement test on “Percentage Word Problem”   of prathomsuksa five students, and ability evaluation forms in solving mathematics word problems on “Percentage Word Problem” of prathomsuksa five students. Percentage, mean, and standard deviation were used for analyzing data.

          The research results showed that the mathematics learning achievement of students after learning on “Percentage Word Problem” was higher than 60% and the students had ability in solving the mathematics word problems on “Percentage Word Problem” at the “good” level.
