Abstract

The objective of this research was to criticize courses in the Master of Education program in curriculum, teaching, and learning technology (concentration area: curriculum and instruction), Chiang Mai University which was constructed in 2012. The criticism was based on 3 characteristics on the framework – value, quality and utility. The target group for data collecting were 5 experts in the area of curriculum and instruction. They were selected by purposive sampling. Research instruments consisted of a questionnaire and an interview form. Mean and standard deviation were used for analyzing quantitative data. Content analysis and topic synthesis were used for analyzing qualitative data. The research findings showed that all 15 courses in this curriculum had total average in value, quality, and utility at a good level. Moreover, the experts suggested adding a course on statistics for research and data analysis, and offering study plan that allows students to choose either to doe thesis or do an independent study.This will satisfy social and students needs in the 21st century and is focused on research-based learning.
