Development of Leaders’ Competency on Strategic Management for the Non-Profit Organization for Administrators in Huachiew School, TaphanHin District, Phichit Province

Abstract

The research aimed to develop leaders’ competency on strategic management for the non-profit organization for administrators in Huachiew School, TaphanHin district, Phichit province by using workshop training program and to find out results from the implementation of the program in the following dimensions: 1) achievement on leaders’ competency on strategic management for the Non-Profit Organization, and 2) trainees’ opinions toward  the training program. Population of the study were 18 (N=18) administrators and managers in Huachiew School. Research instruments were 1) leaders’ competency on strategic management for the non-profit organization, 2) questionnaire on trainees’ opinions towards the training program on strategic management for the non-profit organization, and 3) achievement test on strategic management for the non-profit organization in four dimensions as the followings: Academic affair Aeneral administration Personnel management and Budgeting. Descriptive statistics were used in this study such as Mean, Standard Deviation, Frequency, and Percentage.

Findings revealed that the researcher have completed workshop training program on strategic management for the non-profit organization. Results from the questionnaire showed that the trainees viewed the training program at “high” level in four topics included “ability of external trainers”                (=3.76), “ability of internal trainers” (=3.69), “academic affair” (=3.55) and “personnel management” (=3.68), the other two topics were at “intermediate” level included “general administration” (=2.93) and “budgeting”                     (=3.44). The results from achievement test on strategic management for the non-profit organization showed that the trainees accomplished the training program at “high” level in all dimensions.
