The Relationship between Academic Leadership of School Principals and National Quality Assurance Operation in School under Pathum Thani Primary Educational Service Area Office

Abstract

The major objectives of this research were to study 1) the academic leadership level of primary school administrators in  Pathum Thani province,    2) the level of implementation of quality assurance within the primary schools in  Pathum Thani province, and 3) the level of relationship between academic leadership of primary school administrators and the implementation of quality assurance in primary schools in Pathum Thani province. Research samples were 50 school administrators and 285 teachers from primary schools in Pathum Thani province. Research instrument was a set of 5 – level rating scale questionnaire. Descriptive statistics including percentage, mean, and standard deviation (S.D.) andPearson’s product moment correlation coefficient were used for data analysis.

The findings showed that 1) the administrator’s level of academic leadership 2) the level of internal quality assurance 3) the level of relationship between academic leadership of primary school administrators and the implementation of internal quality assurance were high in both overall and individual aspects. The most relevant ones were the promotion of cultural atmosphere and the educational management plan for educational institutions development, the tracking process and the educational management plan for educational institutions development, and defining vision and mission in accordance with the establishment of educational standards respectively. The three pairs showed highly positive relation with a statistically significant difference at 0.01. The institute conducts research results, plans, improves and develops the educational management of the school and a guide to developing their own academic leadership.
