The Study of Parents’ Alpha Children in Information and Communication Technology Literacy

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to investigate parents' alpha children in ICT literacy. The subjects were 374 parents of preschool children who were studying in kindergarten level 1-3, first semester year of 2016 of a single level private kindergarten schools at Chatuchak district in Bangkok. The research tool was questionnaire. The data were analyzed by frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test, F-test and Least Significant Difference (LSD) were statistically significant at the .05 level. The research showed that parents’ ICT literacy was at the highest level. The ICT evaluation was at the highest level and the ICT
creation at the lowest level. In the part of the parents' using promotion behaviors of ICT to the generation alpha child. It was found that the parents' using promotion behaviors of ICT on children's generations alpha children. In all, it was at the high level almost all aspect, the ICT creation which was at the middle level.
The results of the hypothesis testing showed that parents with different gender and age affect of the parents' using promotion behaviors to ICT toward generation alpha child were different statistically significant at the .05 level.
