The Study of Teachers’ Instruction to Promote Students’ Learning Skills in 21st Century of Business and Computer Education

The purpose of this research was to investigateteachers’ instruction to promote students’ learning skills in 21st Century of Business and Computer Education Major, Vocational Education Department, Faculty of Education, Kasetsart University. The population in this study consisted of the fourth and fifth year graduate
students in Bachelor of Education Program, Major in Business and computer, Vocational Education Department, Faculty of Education, Kasetsart University who have enrolled in academic year 2015 for the total of 46 respondents. Data were analyzed by a computer program. The statistical methods including Frequency, Percentage and Mean were used. Data obtained from the interviewing of three administrators and teachers
and the interview of one education specialist, were analyzed by using Content Analysis.
The results of this research showed that teaching instructional behavior which could always be found was Collaboration Skill (μ=4.31). Whereas, Critical Thinking Skill (μ=4.13), Communication Skill (μ=4.07), and Creative Thinking Skill (μ=4.16) were often be found. The interview of teachers indicated that teachers mostly conducted by describing in front of classroom along with student responsibilities such as taking note, asking questions and presenting. Teachers usually assign both single and group works to improve analysis and
collaborative skills. Students were freely thinking from the conceptual and theory parallel with the learning observation of student behavior by teachers. Moreover, the interview of education specialist found that network and technology system were used to improve teachers instruction. Teachers were able to exchange the experiences and problems occurred in the class of student-centered instruction.
