Effectiveness of Health Education Program using Participatory Leaning Process for Health Literacy Development on Physical Violent Prevention of Secondary School Students of Saraburi Primary Educational Service Area Office 2

The purpose of this quasi-experimental research aimed to study effectiveness of health education program using participatory leaning health literacy development on physical violent prevention of secondary school students of Saraburi Primary Educational Service Area Office 2. The simples of this study were Matayomsuksa
3 of Saraburi Primary Educational Service Area Office 2. Fifty six and fifty three students were randomly assigned to the experimental and control groups respectively. The experimental group participated in 4 weeks health education program to develop physical violent prevention literacy using participatory learning process. The comparison group participated in regular health education class. Questionnaire was used as an
instrument in this study. Data was collected at before and after implementing the program. Mean, standard deviation, paired sample t-test and independent t-test were used to analyze the data. The study results showed that after participating in the health education program, the experimental group had higher scores on physical violent prevention literacy and violent prevention behavior than before participate in the program and than those in the control group at a .05 statistical significant level.
