Abstract

The aim of this paper is to explore a two-way cultural introduction model for Chinese learners based on the development of intercultural competence. The model aims to enhance students' intercultural communication skills and their ability to understand foreign cultures while learning Chinese through intercultural communication. Specific ways of implementation include: teaching the Chinese language and Chinese culture to guide students to understand Chinese cultural background and values; at the same time, introducing learners' native language background and local cultural characteristics to deepen their understanding of different cultural differences; and using intercultural communication as a bridge to promote communication and interaction between Chinese and foreign students to enhance mutual understanding and trust. The implementation of this model helps to enhance students' language skills, intercultural awareness and global perspective, and provides them with a good foundation for their future career development.
