AN ANALYSIS OF LESSON PLAN DESIGN FOR DISSEMINATING CHINESE CULTURE THROUGH CHARACTERS AS A CARRIER IN INTERNATIONAL CHINESE LANGUAGE TEACHING

In the current practice of international Chinese language teaching, the dissemination of Chinese culture through written characters has gradually become a consensus among educators due to its convenience, popularity, and excellent effect. With the continuous and in-depth development of international Chinese education, educational researchers are constantly exploring the topic of cultural dissemination using written characters as a carrier. There are numerous research papers and discussions on this topic, but there is a lack of corresponding literature discussing the scientific and reasonable design of related lesson plans. This article attempts to make a beneficial exploration and discussion on various aspects, including the background and significance of exploring the design of lesson plans for disseminating Chinese culture through written characters, the importance of scientific and reasonable lesson plan design in improving teaching quality, the prominent characteristics compared with traditional lesson plans, as well as the difficulties and challenges in the design of such lesson plans. The article proposes issues to be noted, matters to be avoided, and solutions to be considered in the design of lesson plans based on Chinese character teaching and focused on disseminating Chinese culture. It also provides an example of the framework for lesson plan design to facilitate mutual communication, criticism, and learning among colleagues engaged in international Chinese language teaching.
