บทคัดย่อ

บทความวิชาการนี้เป็นบทวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลจากการศึกษาปรากฏการณ์ทางสังคมเกี่ยวกับการช่วงชิงความหมาย และพื้นที่ทางสังคมเกี่ยวกับ วัว ควาย  โดยมีวัตถุประสงค์ 3 ประการ คือ 1.ทบทวนวรรณกรรมเกี่ยวกับความสัมพันธ์ของคน และวัว ควาย ในงานศึกษาทางสังคมศาสตร์  2. วิเคราะห์ความสัมพันธ์ของ คน กับ วัว ควาย ในวิถีของนายฮ้อย  3. ศึกษาประเด็นวิวาทะ และการช่วงชิงพื้นที่ทางสังคมในเรื่องระบบคุณค่า และการให้ความหมายของการเลี้ยงวัวควายในสังคมไทย โดยใช้แนวคิดเรื่องพื้นที่ทางสังคมในการวิเคราะห์เพื่ออธิบายปรากฏการณ์ที่เกิดขึ้นกับ วัว ควาย ตั้งแต่การให้นิยามความหมาย วัว ควาย ในระบบไร่นา  และมุมการวิเคราะห์พื้นที่ทางสังคมเกี่ยวกับ วัว ควาย ในกระแสทุนนิยมปัจจุบัน  ซึ่งพบว่าการเปลี่ยนแปลงระบบคุณค่า และการให้นิยามความหมายของวัว ควาย เป็นภาพสะท้อนการเปลี่ยนแปลงของระบบสังคมตั้งแต่อดีตจนถึงปัจจุบัน  ที่วัวควายถูกพูดถึงในตำนานของนายฮ้อย ซึ่งมีพลวัตการเปลี่ยนแปลงระบบคุณค่าและความหมายจนถึงปัจจุบัน โดยเกิดภาพสะท้อนการช่วงชิงพื้นที่การพัฒนาสายพันธุ์ และแย่งชิงคำนิยามเกี่ยวกับวัวควาย จากคนชนชั้นกลางที่มีส่วนเกี่ยวข้องกับวัว ควาย ในมิติต่าง ๆ  ส่งผลให้ภาพการมอง วัว ควาย ถูกสังคมนิยามความหมายใหม่ ปรากฏการณ์ดังกล่าวนี้เองที่ทำให้เกิดการสร้างความจริงชุดใหม่ของกลุ่มคนที่ถกเถียงวิวาทะช่วงชิงนิยามความหมาย และสร้างระบบคุณค่าให้กับ วัว และควาย ในโลกทัศน์ที่เปลี่ยนแปลงไป
