Reading Thai Society and Politics through Zombies in Thai Films and other Media

Abstract

This article explores Zombie as a sign which reflects ideologies and values in Thai society, exploring how Zombie has been appropriated through films into other cultural forms. These forms include Thai cinemas, video games, and stories. I would like to argue that Zombie is a powerful sign and therefore it can point us to many interesting aspects of Thai society.
