A Study of Ability and Factors Related to Students’ Creativity in the 21st Century: A Case Study of Primary 2 Students of School in Din Daeng District, Bangkok

This research aimed to 1) study the creativity abilities of primary 2 students of schools in Din Daeng district, Bangkok, and 2) to investigate factors affecting creativity of primary 2 students at Din Daeng district schools in Bangkok. This research was a mixed methods research between quantitative and qualitative research. The quantitative data were obtained by creativity assessment form from a population of 104 in primary 2 students chosen by purposive sampling, and 2) qualitative data were obtained by interview and observations based on highest and lowest assessment scores from a sample of six primary 2 students.
The research results were found that 1) an average score of students’ creativity abilities was 69.6 percent; 2) factors affecting students’ creativity abilities included thinking practice, experiences, acceptance, positive interactions, and knowledge application; and obstacles included learning limitations, inadequate social interactions, and poor knowledge and communication adaptability.
