The Needs for Using Information Technology to Promote Academic Administration of School Administrators under Sukhothai Primary Educational Service Area Office 1

The purposes of this research were to study the needs for the use of information technology to enhance academic administration in schools under Sukhothai Primary Educational Service Area Office 1. The sample group consisted of 285 participants, including school administrators and teachers. The sample size was determined based on Krejcie and Morgan's table. The research instrument was a 5-level rating scale questionnaire with 45 items. The reliability was 0.98. Data obtained from the questionnaires were analyzed using descriptive statistics, including frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation.

The results of the study on the current conditions of the use of information technology to support academic administration in schools under Sukhothai Primary Educational Service Area Office 1 revealed that the overall conditions were at a high level ( = 4.01). When considered each aspect, the highest average was the aspect of learning process development (
= 4.13), followed by the aspect of assessment, evaluation, and credit transfer, also were at a high level (
= 4.09), and the aspect of curriculum development, at a high level (
= 3.98), respectively. The results of the study on the needs for using information technology to support academic administration in schools revealed that the overall needs were 0.050. When considering each aspect, the aspect of educational supervision had the highest needs (PNImodified = 0.077), followed by modernizing school curriculum development (PNImodified = 0.055), and assessment, evaluation, and credit transfer systems (PNImodified = 0.050), respectively.
