Applying Knowledge in Managing Spatial Project Plans on the Project of Promoting Access to Modern Markets for Community Enterprises Growing Safe Vegetables: A Case Study of Ban Nong Bua Noi, Kalasin Province

Abstract

The purpose of the research was to study the spatial project management by applying the PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) process on a project promoting modern marketing access for a safe-vegetable community enterprise: A case study of Ban Nong Bua Noi, Kalasin Province in order to ensure that the project was achievement. The sample group consisted of 75 members in the Ban Nong Bua Noi safe-vegetable growing group, selected by using purposive sampling. The research instruments included the questionnaires and the in-depth interviews which conducted through    a Research and Development (R&D) methodology and the study was divided into four phases. The statistical methods used included the mean, percentage, and qualitative analysis. The research findings revealed that 1) the planning phase set goals to develop a vegetable production system that was safe and meets GAP standards and to upgrade the sale of agricultural products in modern marketing, 2) the implementation Phase (Do): this was carried out through three main activities; promoting the production of safe vegetables, certifying agricultural products according to GAP standards and promoting access to modern marketing, 3) Monitoring/Follow-up Phase (Check): iu was found that farmers received GAP certification for 3 types of crops, namely: Kale was 17 people, Choy sum was 17 people and Lettuce was 14 people. In addition, farmers have two modern market channels for selling their products: Facebook pages and Line. The resulted in a 63.51% increase in online income and an overall 187.80% increase in farmers' income compared to before the project was implemented, and 4) the sustainability improvement process (Act) involved extracting lessons learned from operations  them into a knowledge management in two volumes, namely knowledge of vegetable production systems that meet GAP (Good Agricultural Practices) standards and modern marketing knowledge for vegetables that bring "happiness to consumers”. This serves as a valuable reference resource for academics, community developers and government officials in studying results-oriented project management models and creating sustainability for community enterprises.
