MECHANISM FOR DEVELOPING ACTIVITIES TO PROMOTE PROFESSIONAL TEACHER COMPETENCE FOR STUDENTS IN THE EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM, MAJOR IN SOCIAL STUDIES, FACULTY OF EDUCATION AND HUMAN DEVELOPMENT, CHAIYAPHUM RAJABHAT UNIVERSITY

Abstract

This research aims to 1.study the current situation of professional teacher competence, 2.study the factors affecting the development of professional teacher competence promotion activities, and 3.create a mechanism for developing professional teacher competence promotion activities for students in the Education Program, majoring in Social Studies, Faculty of Education and Human Development, Chaiyaphum Rajabhat University. It is a combination of quantitative research methodology and qualitative methodology. The sample consists of 148 people. The instruments used are interview forms and questionnaires. The statistics used are frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, Pearson's product moment correlation coefficient, multiple regression analysis, and descriptive analysis.

The results of the research found that 1.the current situation affecting professional teacher competence for students in the Education Program, majoring in Social Studies, Faculty of Education and Human Development, Chaiyaphum Rajabhat University is at a high level overall. The aspect with the highest opinions is classroom management, while the aspect with the lowest opinions is teacher leadership. 2. The results of the test of the relationship of factors affecting professional teacher competence for students in the Education Program, majoring in Social Studies, Faculty of Education and Human Development, Chaiyaphum Rajabhat University The relationship between all 6 aspects was found to be positively related at the .01 statistical significance level. 3. The development mechanism for activities to promote teacher professional competency for students in the Education Program, Social Studies Major, Faculty of Education and Human Development, Chaiyaphum Rajabhat University, which has drafted the development mechanism, has the following steps: Step 1: Team Management, Step 2: Resource or Material Management, Step 3: Budget Allocation, and Step 4: Project Management. 4. The evaluation results of the development mechanism for activities to promote teacher professional competency for students in the Education Program, Social Studies Major, Faculty of Education and Human Development, Chaiyaphum Rajabhat University, were overall at a high level. The aspect with the highest opinion was correctness, and the aspect with the lowest opinion was appropriateness.
