The Effects of Phenomenon based Learning Experience Provision on the Historical Concept for Young Children

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to study the effects of the phenomenon-based learning experience provision on historical concepts for young children. The samples were 6 of 4-5 years old children who studied in kindergarten 2, 2nd semester, academic year of 2020, in one School, Saraburi Primary Educational Service Area Office, district 2 Saraburi province. The instrument used in this research included 8 plans of phenomenon-based learning experience, the assessment form of historical concepts for young children. Data was analyzed by using mean, standard deviation, and content analysis.

The results showed that young children who received the phenomenon-based learning experience provision on the historical concepts have higher experience provision on historical concepts learning behaviors scores after learning than before, both overall and in each aspect, the child’s ability to prioritize of the event, experience linking past and present and future, the specific words related to the incident and the sequence importance of the event. and the aspect of changing the way of solving the problem from the situation that occurred from the past to the present is higher
