Parents’ Knowledge Related to Food Consumption Behavior of Early Childhood Children at Home Economics Kindergarten School

Abstract

This research aimed to investigate the relationships between parents' knowledge and behaviors about food consumption of early childhood. A questionnaire was employed to gather data from 155 public guardians of early childhood at Kaset Home Economics Kindergarten school. Using a accidental sampling. Data analysis showed frequency, percentage, mean, Pearson’s product moment correlation coefficient.

The finding revealed that most of the guardians were female with the average age of 39.54 years and half of guardians graduated with the bachelor’s degree. They had good knowledge and behaviors about food consumption. The relationships between knowledge and behaviors about food consumption of early childhood revealed that knowledge in nutritional status was positively correlated with statistically significant at the .01 level.
