Guidelines for Development of Teachers’ Abilities of Managing Science Learning to Encourage Students’ Learning and Innovation Skills of the Secondary Educational Service Area Office Prachinburi Nakhon Nayok: Complete Needs Assessment

This research is a complete needs assessment consisting of a study of learning management conditions, needs identification, needs analysis, and needs solution for the development of science teachers’ abilities that enhance student’s learning skills and innovations. The research sample consists of 175 science and technology teachers selected by multi-stage sampling. Contributors in focus group of 10 people per group are science and technology teachers, supervisors, and school directors. The tools used in this study are needs assessment form, recording a fishbone diagram, and recording focus group form. The data analysis are descriptive statistics consisting of PNImodified, matrix analysis, and content analysis.
The research findings are as follows: 1) The condition of learning management of science teachers is at the "good" level. 2) The science teachers’ abilities to promoting students’ learning and innovative skills which are needs to be highly developed are planning for learning management and learning activities management. (PNImodified=0.162) The causes of the important needs are too much content of science and teachers lack guidelines for learning management And 3) Guidelines for developing the ability of science teachers: There should be guidelines for teaching science learning to teachers through various methods such as learning management supervision, workshop etc.
