Combined with the current development of teaching materials, especially oral teaching materials, in order for students to learn better, they often design some characters in the teaching materials to achieve the effect of "teaching by words and deeds", and make use of their characters and some dialogues in life to make oral Chinese education better and achieve better educational results, However, this requires that the character design in the teaching materials should effectively promote the effect of oral education. Taking this as the starting point, this paper selects two representative sets of oral Chinese teaching materials published by China and the United States, which are popular among Chinese learners, to think and study the character design of oral Chinese teaching materials, This paper summarizes three suggestions that the character design of oral Chinese education textbooks should pay attention to the relevance and continuity of characters, the vividness of characters and the beautification of characters. It is hoped that today's research will be helpful to the character design of oral Chinese Textbooks in the future, so as to achieve the purpose of higher quality teaching.
