The Development of Flute Performance Skills for Grade 5 Students using Davies’ Instructional Model for Psychomotor Domain

The purposes of this research were; 1) to develop Peang-or flute skill through Davies’ instructional model for psychomotor domain of grade 5 students, and 2) to study opinions on learning management through Davies’ instructional model for psychomotor domain on Peang-or flute. The target group consisted of 30 studentsfromgrade 5 students at Ban Nong-Or School under the Office of UdonThani Primary Educational Service Area 1, semester 1 of academic year 2020. The research tools were 1) lesson plans using Davies’ instructional model, 2) Peang-or fluteassessment test, 3) opinion form on using lesson plans using Davies’ instructional model to teach Peang-or flute.
The research results were found that:
1. After using lesson plans using Davies’ instructional model to teach Peang-or flute, students’ skill was at good level (x ̅ = 3.96, S.D. = 0.55), which was higher than the criteria set 3 out of 5, and 96.67% of students were at good level, which was higher than the criteria at 70%.
2. The results of the study on opinions of grade 5 students towards lesson plans using Davies’ instructional model to teach Peang-or flutewere overall at the highest level. When considering each aspect, every aspect was averagely at the highest level.
