The Development of 4 MAT Learning Activity Package and Cooperative Learning on Life-Safety of Health Education and Physical Education Learning Area for Grade Nine Students

Abstract

          The purposes of this research were: 1) to construct 4 MAT Learning Activity Package and Cooperative Learning on Life-Safety of Health Education and Physical Education Learning Area; 2) to compare the pretest and posttest learning achievement by using 4 MAT Learning Activity Package and Cooperative Learning of Life- Safety of Health Education and Physical Education Learning Area; and 3) to study Grade Nine students’ satisfaction towards learning by using 4 MAT Learning Activity Package and Cooperative Learning on Life-Safety of Health Education and Physical Education Learning Area. The samples were 30 Grade Nine students (Mathayomsuksa 3/1) in the first semester of 2019 academic year, Ban Samliam Municipal School, Education Office of Khon Kaen Town Municipality, by Cluster Random Sampling. The research instruments were:  1) 10 packages of 4 MAT Learning Activity and Cooperative Learning on Life- Safety of Health Education and Physical Education Learning Area;    2) 10 lesson plans; 3) Learning Achievement Test with 30 items; and 4) questionnaire for Grade Nine students’ satisfaction towards learning by using 4 MAT Learning Activity Package and Cooperative Learning, with 15 items. The statistics used for data analysis consisted of Percentage, Mean, Standard Deviation, Efficiency of Process and Efficiency of Outcome (E₁/E₂), Effectiveness Index (EI) and t – test. The research findings found that: 1) 4 MAT Learning Activity Package and Cooperative Learning gained higher efficiency than specified criteria with (89.17/87.89). 2) The posttest score was higher than the pretest with statistical significance at 0.05 level and 3) the satisfaction of the students towards learning by using the package in overall was at the highest level. (= 4.55, S.D. = 0.62).
