Abstract

The objectives of this research were to study 1) the operational issues status of small enterprises in Chiang Rai Province 2) the factors that affected to growth of small enterprises in Chiang Rai Province 3) The growth reinforcement guideline of small enterprises in Chiang Rai province. The data collection was done by using in-depth interview. The informants were 21 entrepreneurs who were the owners of small enterprises. This is the qualitative research by using observation and in-depth interview by analyzing contents and presenting information in form of descriptive writing. The findings were found that the first factor was entrepreneurs face problem of Covid 19 pandemic which effecting to lower sale. Secondary was technical problem of online advertising media producing. And the most factors affected to the growth of small enterprises were marketing, financial resources, human resources, network, technology, physical resources, culture, and innovation respectively. In each growth period of each type of small enterprises, whether they are manufacturing business, trade business, service business. They have different growth factor requirement. So, in light of the growth guideline reinforcement of small enterprises, it must be supported in accordance with each requirement of growth period of each business. They are as follows:

1st phase: Manufacturing business and trade business require financial resource factor the most. The entrepreneurs should be guided for ways to their fund, financial resource access and financial planning and service business initially requires physical resource factor the most because mostly service business depends on proper area or zone in running its business.           2nd Phase: Manufacturing business and trade business require marketing factor the most. The 4P rules should be supported for their marketing and service business. It requires financial resource factor the most because its service period begins to be known but its market share is still less so the improvement of business operation would be geared up. The huge fund must be used for this. 3rd Phase: Manufacturing business, trade business and service business require marketing factor the most because its business period begins to be known more and their market share begins to increase as well. The marketing factor should be supported by focusing various products manufacturing in order to respond the requirement of more consumers. 4th Phase: Manufacturing business and service business require human resource factor so it should emphasize on team work, confidence building and showing security in their field of work which causing love and connection for their organization and trade business requires marketing factor as their business has fully grown in this period so it should emphasize on strategies of selling channel by online and offline. 5th Phase: Manufacturing business and service business require connection network the most because in this period their business begins to decline so activities participation or various network participation among consumers, entrepreneurs network and government organization will cause vision on business and trade business begins to decline in this period its sales begins to fall down so it requires marketing factor and it should emphasize on marketing promotion such as discounting, exchanging and buying one get one free in order to sell and release products as much as possible. If the related organization could respond the requirement of entrepreneurs properly. It would cause efficiency and effectiveness in more goal achievement of business.
