The Factors Affecting the Stock Price Index of Electronic Components Sector in the Stock Exchange of Thailand

The objectives of this research were to study the factors affecting the stock price index of the electronic components sector (ETRON) in the stock exchange of Thailand. The independent variables used in this study were the Philadelphia Semiconductor Index (SOX), the Stock Exchange of Thailand Index (SET), MVIS Global Rare Earth/Strategic Metals Index (MVREMXTR), Copper price (COPPER), Exchange rate from US dollar to Thai baht (EXR),The investment of foreign investors in the Stock Exchange of Thailand (FOREIGNER) and Nasdaq 100 Index (NDX) . The study utilized monthly secondary data in the form of time series data that covered the period from June 2020 to May 2026, with the total number of 72 months. The analytical methodology was Multiple Linear Regression Analysis using ordinary least squares. The finding revealed that the Stock Exchange of Thailand Index (SET) had a statistically significant positive correlation with ETRON at 0.01 and the Philadelphia Semiconductor Index (SOX) has a statistically significant positive correlation at 0.05
