Factors affecting the success of digital library development of Pibulsongkram Rajabhat University

Abstract

This research aims to study the level of digital library development, to compare personal factors and factors affecting the success of digital library development, and to study the development approach of digital library of Pibulsongkram Rajabhat University. It is a mixed-method research, quantitative research, with a sample of 354 people using Taro Yamane's formula. The statistics used for data analysis include frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test, F-test, paired test, LSD, multiple regression analysis, stepwise method, and statistical significance at .05. Qualitative data were collected by 5executives. The method was purposive, using an interview as a tool for data collection, and content analysis. The research results found that

1) The level of digital library of Pibulsongkram Rajabhat University was found to be at a high level overall. The highest average value was personnel, followed by materials, management, and budget.

2) Comparison of personal factors affecting the success of digital library development found that gender, age, average monthly income, library visit frequency, and library visit time had different opinions on digital collections, information storage processes, information services, users, and technology. Status and faculty affiliation were not different. The analysis of factors affecting the success of Pibulsongkram Rajabhat University's digital library development found that the Adjusted R Square value was 0.995 or 99.50 percent. The highest value was information services (Beta = 0.691), with statistical significance at 0.05.

          3) Guidelines for successful digital library development found that important development guidelines include organizing academic seminars on digital library technology 4.0 to strengthen collaboration networks and exchange knowledge together, and having the PSRU-LIB Line Bot system to provide services in conjunction with the WALAI AutoLib automated library system to facilitate and respond to user needs efficiently, including being evaluated. "Green Office" National Level 2024 at the "Excellent" (G-Gold) level, reflecting the commitment to developing quality and the environment for services that respond to the needs of users in the digital age.
