Strategies for the Management of Early Childhood Education Toward Excellence in Schools under the Primary Educational Service Area in Nakhon Ratchasima Province

Abstract

This study aimed to examine the current conditions, develop strategic approaches, and evaluate the appropriateness of strategies for achieving excellence in early childhood education management within schools under the Office of Primary Education Service Areas in Nakhon Ratchasima Province. A multistage mixed-methods research design was employed, consisting of contextual and problem analysis, in-depth interviews with experts, quantitative data collection from school administrators, and expert evaluation of the proposed strategies. Descriptive findings revealed persistent gaps in planning, organizational structure, personnel management, and quality assurance systems, all of which affect the overall effectiveness of early childhood development. Notably, systemic management processes indicated a clear need to strengthen administrators’ strategic competencies. The study also identified developmental needs relating to teachers, learners, organizational management, learning resources, and educational networks to align with early childhood quality standards. Analysis of both qualitative and quantitative data led to the formulation of strategic guidelines for excellence in early childhood education management. These guidelines were grounded in five key components: teacher roles, learner development, internal management, learning resources, and school networks. The proposed strategies were evaluated by 30 experts, who affirmed their appropriateness, feasibility, and contextual relevance, indicating strong potential for practical implementation. The findings of this study offer a systematic framework for enhancing the quality of early childhood education management that is responsive to the needs of schools in Nakhon Ratchasima Province. Moreover, the results provide valuable implications for policy formulation, administrator and teacher development, and the establishment of national models for excellence in early childhood education management.
