DEVELOPING A PLAY-BASED LEARNING MODEL TO ENHANCE LIFE SKILLS OF GRADE 7 STUDENTSAT NAKHAMWITTAYA SCHOOL

Abstract
The main objective of this study was to develop a PLAY learning management model for developing life skills of Grade 7 students at NakhamwittayaSchool. This involved creating and evaluating the quality of the learning management model and studying its effectiveness in promoting life skills learning among Grade 7 students at NakhamwittayaSchool. The sample consisted of 20 Grade 7 students in the 2025 academic year, divided into an experimental group of 20 students and a control group of 22 students, selected using purposive sampling. The experiment lasted 10 weeks, 2 days a week, 50 minutes per day. The experimental instrument was the PLAY learning management model for developing life skills of Grade 7 students at NakhamwittayaSchool. The measurement instrument was the life skills behavior assessment form for Grade 7 students at NakhamwittayaSchool, with a reliability coefficient α of 88.
The research results showed that... The developed PLAY learning model consists of four steps: Planning (P), Life Skills Activity (L), Action (A), and Yield (Y). Its suitability averaged at the highest level (M = 4.59). The results showed that after the experiment, the PLAY learning model significantly improved the scores of Grade 7 students at NakhamwittayaSchool in all aspects of life skills and overall (t=33.03). The effect size on individual and overall social skills scores was significant. In contrast, after the normal learning management in the control group, the PLAY model also significantly improved the scores of Grade 7 students at NakhamwittayaSchool in all aspects of life skills and overall (t=18.71, Sig=0.0), but its effect size on individual and overall life skills scores was moderate. Overall, after the PLAY learning model, Grade 7 students at NakhamwittayaSchool demonstrated significantly higher life skills in all aspects and overall compared to the normal learning management. And learning management: PLAY model and normal model.
