The Thailand Fishing Festival to Promote Tourism in the Eastern Economic Corridor

Abstract

Currently, tourism development and promotion are one sub-program under the Eastern Economic Corridor Development Plan (EEC), to achieve the objectives of raising the quality of tourism to be the world class tourism as well as to accommodate the quality tourists and health tourism. The objective is to organize fishing activities linked to EEC tourist sites. Along with to create tourism activities that can accommodate tourists throughout the year and to generate income from the organization of EVENT and EXHIBITION, which will lead to the economic creation of the city. The THAILAND FISHING FESTIVAL should be organized annually to promote tourism. The possibility of  location and proper activities must be aware in establishing EVENT and EXHIBITION. The income distributions are mostly generated from tourism because the consequences of festival will affect throughout travel in provinces or areas where the event is held, especially in rental, accommodation, consumption, and spending which lead to the circular of economy for the communities.
