Preserving Local Wisdom About Lan Saka Champada Through Contemporary Electronic Media
Main Article Content
Abstract
Contemporary electronic media can effectively preserve and disseminate traditions, culture, and local wisdom. The objectives of this research are 1) to investigate fundamental information, traditions, culture, and local wisdom associated with champada in Lan Saka District, 2) to collaboratively design and create contemporary electronic media with active involvement in the community, and 3) to assess the satisfaction level of the community with the developed electronic media. This study adopted a mixed-method approach, incorporating qualitative, developmental, and quantitative research methods. The qualitative part involved conducting in-depth interviews using semi-structured formats and organizing group discussions to thoroughly explore the subject matter. Developmental research focused on creating website and video clip media. The quantitative method was utilized through a media satisfaction assessment form. The target group of 60 individuals comprised students, locals, teachers, local scholars, community leaders, and academics, selected by using quota sampling. The evaluation of website media revealed a high level of satisfaction with a mean of 4.72 and a standard deviation of 0.50, while video clip media also garnered a high level of satisfaction with a mean of 4.74 and a standard deviation of 0.51. Overall, the evaluation of both media types indicated that the developed media effectively facilitated comprehension of the content and enhanced knowledge about champada. The media objectives were clearly articulated, and the content was presented in a user-friendly, engaging manner that is easy to follow. The main content was comprehensive, clear, and aligned with the media's objectives. Learners can easily grasp the content and achieve the media's intended learning outcomes.
