Strategies for Community Participatory Development for Educational Quality Development of Educational Opportunity Expansion Schools under the Office of Tak Primary Education Service Area 1 and 2

Abstract

The purposes of this research were, 1) to study the state, problems and needs of community
participation for educational quality development of the Educational Opportunity Expansion
Schools under the Office of Tak Primary Education Service Area 1 and 2, 2) to develop the
community participatory strategies, and 3) to assess the community participatory strategies.
The research procedures were divided into 3 steps and show as follows: 1) studying the state
and problems and needs of community participation was conducted by using guestionnaire
from 348 samples which consisted of 24 administrators, 324 school committee, and 14 persons
from a focus group, 2) developing the community participatory strategies for educational
quality development was conducted by interviewing with school administrators, teachers,
school board chairman, in addition arranging a workshop for SWOT Analysis, drafting the
community participatory strategies for educational quality development, and setting up
a focus group to verify the accuracy of the strategies, 3) assessing consistency, propriety,
feasibility, and utility of the participatory strategies of the communities for educational
quality by 17 strategic connoisseurs.
The findings were as follows: 1) the state of community participation for educational
quality development was that people were allowed to express their opinions, present
developmental problems, and in addition the quality developmental activities, 2) the problems
of community participation were at a high level, 3) the needs of quality development were at
the highest level, and the strategic development of community participation in the form of
SWOT Analysis the research could produce 8 strategies, 23 measures, and 58 indicators.4) the results of community participation strategy assessment were found that the consistency
and the feasibility of the strategies were at the highest level, white the propriety and utility
were at a high level and the highest level.
