Environmental Management Strategy Development of Schools under the Secondary Educational Service Area Office 41

Abstract

The objectives of this research were to 1) study states and problems of environment of
schools, 2) study states, problems and factors related to environmental management of schools,
3) development environmental management strategy of schools and 4) evaluate environmental
management strategy of schools under the secondary educational service area office 41.
The research results were as follows:
1. The states and problems of the environment of schools under the secondary
educational service area office 41 could be concluded as follows:
1.1 The states of the environment of schools were as follows: For building and
environment of schools, there were developed, improved, and maintained the building. The
environment is available. For studying environment and integrating with another subject. For
encouraging learning with projects, activities related to support environment of schools,
curriculum activities, and many activities inside and outside the schools.
1.2 The problems of environment of schools were as follows: For building and
environment, there were a dilapidated sink and dirty toilet. Lack of interesting teaching
activities. Lack of students’ involvement in the planning of environmental activities. Lack of
cooperation and supporting from the community to manage environmental activities.
2. The states, problems and factors related to environmental management of school
under the secondary educational service area office 41 could be concluded as follows:
2.1 The states of environmental management of schools were as follows: There was
a project to develop, improve the building, and environment in the schools plan. There were
the persons responsible clearly and emphasis to keep the building and environment. There
was supporting the environmental learning activities of learning environment with a many
range of contextual education. There was a project, activities for supporting learning
environmental in education plan, There was a project, environmental activities implemented
by the schools and with the cooperation of community.
2.2 The problems of environmental management of schools were as follows: The
material and equipment were not enough for the students. Lack of personnel awareness of the
environment. The activities for teaching environmental of schools were not concern with the
problems and needs of students and the community. Supervision, evaluation supporting
learning environmental was not systematic. The cooperation between the school and community of
environmental activities were not systematic and continuous.
2.3 The factors related to the environmental management of schools could be
concluded as follows: The factors related to environmental management of schools consisted
of 6 internal factors including 1) structure and policy 2) service system 3) personnel
4) finance 5) materials and equipments 6) management, and 4 external factors including
1) society and culture 2) technology 3) economy and 4) politics and law.service area office 41 consisted of 1) encouraging policy and planning to implement the
environmental with the community. 2) capacity building of community participation in the
development of building and environmental of schools. 3) enhance the participation of the
students and personnel to manage the atmosphere in the building and environmental as a
cultural institution of school. 4) increase the capacity of personnel in teaching and learning
activities related the states of problems and needs of schools and community. 5) increase the
efficiency teaching and learning activities to relate the states of problems and needs of
schools and community. 6) development the resources of learning and information technology,
environmental of school and community. 7) intensive activities to support learning related the
states of problems about environmental and needs of school, community systematically and
continuously. 8) campaign cooperation in environmental performance between schools and
communities. 9) improving supervision, monitoring, and evaluation, the environmental
management of schools and community.
4. The result of the evaluation of environmental management strategy of school under
the secondary educational service area office 41 were found that the vision, mission, goal,
strategy, measures, and indicators were consistent, suitable, feasible, and acceptable in the
high level and the highest level.
