Designing Trill Exercises for Piano Music by Johann Sebastian Bach.

Abstract

This research has objective for creating the piano performance practice model in Trill skill for the composition of Johann Sebastian Bach. The researcher began review literature in Trill skill for the composition of Johann Sebastian Bach and studied the method to create practice model. The expected benefit from this research is quality Trill skill practice model. The research tool for collecting data was evaluation questionnaire which was done by five national piano experts .The type of evaluation was 5 level rating scales and was analyzed by using mean and standard deviation (S.D.).The result of research show that the experts accepted the totally quality of the Trill skill practice model. Average score was 3.65 and the standard deviation was 1.20 which were high acception rate. The ranking scores by the highest score to the lower score were 1) the totally quality of the Trill skill practice model, 2) accuracy and suitability for using the Trill skill practice model, 3) the benefit of the Trill skill practice model, 4) accuracy and suitability of the Trill skill practice model's format. The experts suggested the opinion about the strongest point of the Trill skill practice model was the example items and the method using the practice model related with the contents. The researcher hope that the learners in the piano performance practice model in Trill skill for the composition of Johann Sebastian Bach will receive the benefit and use the practice model in the right way.
