Development of curriculum to enhance English reading literacy for grade 6 students

The objectives of this research were to develop curriculum to enhance English reading literacy for grade 6 students and to study the result of the implementation of the developed curriculum. It was the two groups, Pretest-Posttest design, 40 students each. The 6th grade students in Anuban Lampang (Khelangratanusorn school) of the academic year 2019 were randomly sampling. The instruments were the developed curriculum, pretest – posttest. Mean and Standard deviation and t-test were used for data analysis.
The results found that: there was the curriculum to enhance English reading literacy for grade 6 students which composed of 4 learning units. The constructed curriculum had a suitable average, at a high level. The posttest scores of the trial group were higher than the control group, statistically significant at the .05 level. The posttest scores of English reading literacy of the trial group were higher than the pretest, statistically significant at the .05 level.
