A study of the Operating Conditions according to the Strategic Issues for the Development of Phrapariyattidhamma School, Department of General Studies, Northern Group

The purposes of this research were to study the opinions of the administrators and full-time teachers towards the implementation of the strategic issues for the development of Phrapariyattidhamma Schools in the Department of General Studies northern group and to compare each school group and working status of full-time teachers according to strategic issues (strategic issue) in 4 aspects. The participants were the directors and full-time teachers from Phrapariyattidhamma Schools in the Department of General Studies Groups 5 and 6. They were randomly selected using proportional method to obtain a sample of 257 persons from all schools. The instrument was a set of questionnaires. It had 2 parts including: Part 1: the personal information of the respondents; and Part 2: the opinions of administrators and full-time teachers towards the implementation of the strategic issues for the development of Phrapariyattidhamma Schools, Department of General Studies northern group. Data were analyzed by percentage, mean, and standard deviation. For hypothesis testing, t-test was used.
The results showed that the level of the participants’ opinions towards the implementation of the strategic issues for the development of Phrapariyattidhamma Schools, Department of General Studies in northern group was overall at a high level in 3aspects including: the creating and developing learners to be a good quality religious heir; the development for the school management system strengthening and standard of being a sustainable quality school; and the preservation for the flourish of Buddhism.
The participants’ opinions towards the potentials of being the center for Dhamma study of the world general education department was in a moderate level. In comparison between the school groups, the results showed that they had overall differences with statistically significant at .05, which consistent with the research hypothesis, while the overall status was not statistically different and was inconsistent with the hypothesis.
