ASSESSING THE ECONOMIC IMPACT OF THE COVID-19 OUTBREAK FOR ACCOMMODATION BUSINESSES IN TAK SPECIAL ECONOMIC ZONE

This research has the objective to study and assess the economic impact of the COVID-19 epidemic situation for the accommodation business in Tak Special Economic Zone. The sample consisted of 102 accommodation businesses in Tak Special Economic Zone. The tool used was questionnaires and statistics used for data analysis were namely percentage, mean and standard deviation. A descriptive format and one way hypothesis testing using Binomial Test statistics were used. From the study of the economic impact of the accommodation business, there was an outbreak of the COVID-19 virus. It was found that the economic impact was divided into 2 areas, with the overall income level at a high level which has the mean of 3.88 and the standard deviation of 1.28 The most respondents had various answers, This is because the types and sizes of businesses are not the same. As a result, business income from the COVID-19 epidemic situation, some businesses have decreased incomes from the original or had no income during the COVID-19 epidemic. Cost side, there is a moderate overall picture. With a mean of 3.36 and a standard deviation of 0.98. The highest impacts are employee wages, and the security costs and the increased debt and interest payments respectively.
